And that’s a wrap

February 13, 2012

The first iteration clocked in at just under 81,000 words of deathless prose. Getting to this point is always nice. Now I pass it to my chief beta readers to tell me if it’s utterly incomprehensible or loathsome, and if it fails to limbo under those bars, I run it through AutoCrit (a couple of weeks right there) and then do a smoothing pass to make it ready for WUTA Big Books review.

The last 11,000 words came in 13 days. Not quite NaNoWriMo speed, but it felt like it a few times, in a good way.
