Been a while…

July 23, 2011

Vacation drained my brain in a good way. Work has been happily refilling it since. I’ve been rewriting the ancient manuscript a bit at a time so I don’t forget how that whole fiction thing works. To my continuing shock, it’s generally liked. So far. A release crunch at work this week and next is going to make even that level of writing activity hard to maintain. By the time I’m back we’ll likely be meeting somewhere else, as Borders will be no more.

That’s all a bit of a downer, really. On the plus side, I am awaiting a contract from Untreed Reads for a short story I wrote several years ago, one odd enough to make finding a home for it difficult, but obviously not impossible. They sell ebooks of various lengths online–several members of WUTA have done well by them, and I feel as if I’ve finally joined the 21st century writers’ club by getting something accepted there.
