Production Fragments

October 28, 2011

Much marketing. Three partials and one full sub out, a few short stories sent, debating a poetry sub. Why the heck not? I have five or six worth shopping around.

Plodding through the ghost novel. A tad under 40k, but I know 5k of that is likely to be dropped or radically redone. Still, progress. Last night, wrote between innings of Game Six, since I promised my son I’d watch with him. The results: not nearly as disjointed as I feared. And Game Seven, though I had nothing to do with that.

The old house in U. City is now sold. Big lift. Pay off the bridge loan, pay off the new roof…slowly it hits me that I’ll never be back at the old house again. Hope the buyer enjoys the place as much as we did.

WUTA: new digs soon. Stable, quiet, but not free of cost or expectation. We have obligations to the craft in general now. Teaching things makes you understand them better, deeper. Teaching makes you care why you do things.
