2012 in review (I mean, they keep all these statistics, it would be a shame to let them sit on the shelf past their expiration date)
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner can carry about 250 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,100 times in 2012. If it were a Dreamliner, it would take about 4 trips to carry that many people.
I’m not really sure my blog has anything in common with an airliner, apart from the quality of the food. But it’s Word Press’s analogy, not mine.
I do want to thank those who have taken the time to read, to share, to follow, and to comment in this obscure little corner of the internet. At some point, when I’m published (see? positive thoughts, always positive thoughts) I imagine this blog will be very different. Or not. We’ll blow that bridge when the chickens cross it.
I also want to mention: last month I added a bibliography page, for anyone interested in tracking down my published stories. The ones at places that have gone out of business I need to find reprint places for, but that’s a next year thing.
What? Oh, yeah, tomorrow is next year. Time to hit Duotrope again. See you in 2013.
