Method v. Madness

Where did that tail section go?

Where did that tail section go?

Finished the plot change at the heart of the revision yesterday. It’s not a major change, but characters refer to the event in question a number of times later in the story, so those references now reflect the altered nature of the event. As a reward to myself I spent some time with my son building a Lego model of an aircraft from the decopunk novel I’ll be returning to once the revisions are complete.

If you do not understand how essential this is to the writing process, I can only assume you do not have a ten-year old, inner or otherwise.

Today, another pass, concentrating on character interactions I want to sharpen, both around the plot change and generally. That will take several days, I suspect, with a gap Tuesday to prep material for WUTA from the novel in progress. Then a run through AutoCrit, some time to grind down and buff out the welds, and back to the agent.
