Screenplay news-yay

June 16, 2015

So, as you know if you read this blog, I’m currently working on a MG/YA (mostly MG) novel, Robo4ce, and to further that project, I wrote a screenplay as an outline for that novel, which conveniently shares the same name.

The jury is still out on whether that’s a good idea for me for novel-writing–see earlier posts–but the screenplay itself seems to have taken on a life of its own. I helped it along by entering it in a few contests last month. Like this one.

If you glance down at the Family/Teen/Animation category, you will see a familiar name in first place.

Somehow, this is not making the novel easier to finish. But now I’m tempted to enter a few more screenplay contests…especially since I’ve actually improved the thing here and there as a side effect of writing the novel.
